DC52D+Z is a hot-dip galvanized steel for automobiles, belonging to the low-carbon steel category, mainly used for structural components and coverings in automobile manufacturing.
Galvanized layer:
The weight of the zinc layer is usually 30-90 g/m ² on both sides (commonly referred to as Z60, Z80, etc.).
Surface treatment may include chromate passivation (environmentally friendly chromium free passivation is optional).
Automotive components:
Body panels (doors, hood), internal panel structural components, and other parts that require high formability and corrosion resistance.
Processing technology:
Suitable for stamping, bending, and welding (note the impact of zinc layer volatilization on welding).
Advantage:
The galvanized layer provides long-lasting rust prevention and reduces subsequent coating costs.
Good balance between formability and strength.
Notes:
Moisture proof measures should be taken during storage to avoid oxidation and whitening of the zinc layer.
Lubrication is required during stamping to reduce zinc layer peeling.
