310S Stainless steel plate exhibits excellent high-temperature performance and is known as the "steel warrior" in the field of industrial heat-resistant materials. This austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, with its unique chemical composition (25Cr-20Ni), forms a sturdy molecular fortress, demonstrating remarkable stability under continuous high-temperature conditions. While ordinary steel collapses at high temperatures of 800°C, 310S remains like a warrior in armor, with its oxidation resistance capable of withstanding continuous high-temperature impacts up to 1150°C, and its short-term use limit can even exceed the 1200°C threshold.
At the micro level, 310S stainless steel forms a dense protective layer of chromium oxide through its high chromium content, which acts like an invisible shield for the material, effectively preventing oxygen erosion. Its nickel element acts like a clever molecular architect, stabilizing the austenite crystal structure and ensuring that the material does not undergo phase transformation and embrittlement at high temperatures. This dual protection mechanism makes it adept at high-temperature applications such as heat treatment equipment and petrochemical cracking units, with a service life that can be 3-5 times longer than that of ordinary stainless steel.
In practical applications, 310S plate material exhibits creep resistance during the manufacturing of high-temperature furnace cores, akin to a metal with memory function, capable of resisting deformation caused by long-term thermal loads. Its coefficient of thermal expansion closely matches that of most refractory materials, much like a well-coordinated dance partner, ensuring the structural integrity of thermal equipment during alternating hot and cold conditions. It is worth noting that in sulfur-containing media environments, the corrosion resistance of 310S decreases sensitively, akin to a precision instrument, and protective coatings must be applied accordingly.
